THE MYSTERY OF RESTORATION
Restoration involves returning a person or thing to its original position as if no constraints had existed. Time is the unit of destiny, and destiny is measured in time. Whatever receives your time holds a portion of your destiny. Losing things is unfortunate, but losing time is perilous and irredeemable. (Exodus 14:13–15, Joel 2:25–26, Isaiah 38:3) God promises to restore years.
Five reasons people experience loss in life:
1. Lack of discernment: the ability to perceive. Discernment comes through prayer, scripture study, and exposure to the Holy Spirit’s presence. (Acts 28:27, Hebrews 2:1, Genesis 28:16, Ezekiel 2:1–2)
2. Carelessness: (Revelation 3:11, Hebrews 2:3, Judges 11:30–35)
3. Ignorance of life’s laws, destiny’s laws, and kingdom laws. (Psalms 82:5–7) Ignorance is costly; contend for spiritual illumination. (Ephesians 3:2–3, 9)
4. Abuse and misuse: seeds are sown and buried, not talents. Talents are for multiplication. (Matthew 25:14–28, 1 Samuel 2:15–17). You will eventually lose what you abuse or misuse.
5. Tests and trials: anything without God’s involvement is disastrous. Some challenges require perseverance, not prayer. Run from those without scars, for they have bypassed spiritual growth. Trials bring transformation and scars, often preceding greatness. Not every loss indicates God’s absence; some losses are honorable scars of endurance.
Four keys to restoration:
- Self-examination: engage in deep concentration. Both prayer warriors and thinking warriors are essential. Deep thinking is crucial for overcoming tragedies. (Philippians 4:8, Luke 15:17–20). We are stewards, not owners in God's kingdom. Access to God’s riches comes with responsibility. (Luke 16:11)
2. Brokenness: take responsibility and be open to God. Genuine restoration involves brokenness, and admitting mistakes without shame. (Psalms 51:17)
3. Knowledge: controls restoration. God’s kingdom operates by light. Seek knowledge of God’s ways and kingdom mysteries for victory, deliverance, and restoration. (Job 29:1–11) Two types of light are necessary: knowledge and direction. Advancements and restoration depend on revelation.
4. The prophetic dimension is also crucial for restoration, as it empowers individuals to rise above thresholds. (Nehemiah 5:11, Ezekiel 37:1–7) and restoration must be spoken to happen.
