Our thoughts really the building blocks to a positive lifestyle?
We’re all thinking most of the time whether we realize it or not. If you are speaking or listening to someone, playing games, reading the newspaper, or watching television, you are thinking.
Your thought is an idea, plan, opinion, picture, etc., that is formed in your mind: something that you think of.
When you recall memories from your past, considering something in your future, getting ready in the morning, driving, etc. you are thinking.
Try, if you can, imagine a life without thought. For a human being, it wouldn’t be much of an existence. Thoughts fill us every waking moment, and whether they are insightful, banal, playful, or bizarre, there is no denying that thinking comes naturally to us. We might say that thought is to human beings what flight is to eagles and swimming is to dolphins.
For everyone, the only time you are not thinking is when you are asleep; however, the forces of attraction are still operating on our last thoughts as we fall asleep. So, make your last thoughts before you go to bed, good thoughts.
Your future life is being created by what you are currently thinking about. You create your life with your thoughts. As long as you are thinking, you are creating.
What you believe, imagine, or focus on the most is what will happen in your life. If you are complaining, the law of attraction will generate into your life more predicaments for you to grumble about. Similarly, you are attracting more situations to complain about to yourself if you keep listening, focusing on, and sympathizing with someone else’s complaints.
The law of attraction is reflecting and giving back to you what your thoughts are focused on. With this important understanding, you can alter circumstances and events in your whole life by improving the way you think.
Life can be hard for us, I face fresh challenges from time to time; marriage, finance, career, etc and my thoughts become atrocious and muddled up, I wanted to scream for cover. I forget if not all I have ever read or live by concerning positive living. My focus becomes a way out as soon as I can.
However, I have realized that until I work on my thoughts and deliberately censor what comes in and goes out and I take responsibility, things continue to go worse.
Despite our good thoughts, bad things still happen, but we should continue to focus more on our thoughts at that point to get out of unpleasant situations. Never think of a thing you don’t want to happen.

Also, I want something positive in my life; a dream, goal, or achievement, I center my thoughts on these things, focus on them till they become realities.
What are you thinking about? What are your predominant thoughts? Are your thoughts in line with your dreams, goals, and plans? We kind of waiver in times of difficulties. It’s fine. We are human. However, we should try our best to get our thoughts back in line with what we want.

To think positive thoughts, you need to:
- Focus on the good things. Challenging situations and obstacles are a part of life
- Practice gratitude or self-talk
- Spend time with positive people and
- Start every day on a positive note.
Also, to take control of prevailing negative thoughts, you need to counter them by:
- Remembering a situation in which you felt assured and calm and relish that feeling again.
- Look for the positive and keep your perspective. Situations are not as bad as they appear initially. Opportunities to turn the situations around exist most times.
- As a man thinks in his heart, so is he.
